Three Brunch Benedicts That Will Make Your Mouth Water

Three Brunch Benedicts That Will Make Your Mouth Water

In the 1860s, Eggs Benedicts were invented and have been a brunch staple ever since. After years of testing, tasting, and experimenting, the Toast! All Day team has successfully put together some of the most delectable Eggs Benedicts that will certainly make your mouth water.

First off, let us start off by describing the backbone of our benedicts. Making an Eggs Benedict requires careful orchestration. Having a perfectly buttered and toasted English muffin is a necessity.  Because the entirety of the benedict rests on the English muffin, we use top-of-the-line muffins from local bakeries. The next ingredient is if not the most, one of the most crucial: poached eggs. Poached eggs are one of those things that are difficult to master, but once you’ve got the technique down you could poach them with your eyes closed. We like to poach our eggs just enough that they are firm but still have a beautifully runny yolk. Although not all benedicts incorporate meat, traditionally some sort of ham or bacon is used.  Last but not least is the Hollandaise Sauce. In case you are unfamiliar with what Hollandaise Sauce is, it is an emulsion of egg yolk, melted butter, lemon juice, and some spices. Our Hollandaise Sauce is house-made and to die for!

Now that you’ve gotten the basic definition of an Eggs Benedict down pat, it’s time to introduce you to three of our Eggs Benedicts that you will constantly crave.

Classic Eggs Benedict:

An all-time favorite is the Classic Eggs Benedict. You can never go wrong with this classic as it encompasses all things you want when you think of an Eggs Benedict. This staple consists of two poached on a split English muffin, with Canadian bacon and topped with house-made hollandaise, and comes with a side of either home fries, Carolina stone-ground grits, or artisan greens.

We recommend pairing this classic with one of our freshly squeezed mimosas. With these two together, you will be dreaming of this meal for days!

Spinach Oyster Benedict:

If you’re a seafood lover, this benedict is perfect for you. The addition of the fried oysters makes for a salty crunch. The combination of the fried oysters and crispy bacon is one of those things you didn’t know you needed until you tried it. Along with the oysters and bacon, this benedict consists of two poached eggs, creamed spinach, and our house-made hollandaise sauce. Pick your choice of home fries, Carolina stone-ground grits, or artisan greens and dig in!

We recommend pairing this benedict with our Bacon Bloody Mary.

Florentine Eggs Benedict:

Calling all veggie lovers! For those of you who do not eat meat, the Florentine Eggs Benedict is a perfect option. Instead of using ham or bacon, the chefs at Toast! All Day incorporates perfectly ripe thick-cut tomatoes to still leave your palette satisfied. Besides the tomatoes, this benedict is made on a split English muffin with two poached eggs, sauteed spinach, and is topped with house-made hollandaise sauce and your choice of home fries, Carolina stone-ground grits, or artisan greens.

We recommend pairing this delight with either a Cucumber Bloody Mary or a Basil Bloody Mary
